Crude Vegetable Oils (CVO) are unprocessed / unrefined oils derived from crop plants. Many Vegetable Oils (VOs) are nowadays used as fuels. VO used as a fuel is CO2 neutral and subject to compliance with specific requirements, such oils allow companies which utilize them to obtain Carbon Credits under the Kyoto CO2 trading scheme. 

MBH´s CVO power plants fall into two categories:

• Building new power plants with CVO generating set technology.
• Converting existing diesel power plants into CVO operating plants.

The conversion process is possible thanks to our Research & Development engineers who have gone one step ahead with the development of the Conversion Module, a technology able to modify existing Diesel Engines and Power Plants for operation on Crude Vegetable Oil.

Variable Crude Vegetable Oils can be used in our power plants. Our sales team can help you assess the characteristics of the VO you are planning to use, to check its compatibility with our engines.

Our Gas power plants operate either on Natural Gas or in Dual Fuel mode (Natural Gas / Liquid Fuel Oil).

Power generation using Natural Gas produces less toxic emissions.
